Who we are
Heritage Chapters is a trading name of M.F. TECHPRO SYSTEMS LTD, a company registered in Cyprus (company number HE 464886, VAT number CY60095067I), registered office 30 Peiraios, Floor 1, Office 1, Strovolos, 2023 Nicosia, Cyprus. What we collect
- What you send in the free review form: your name, email, the ancestor’s details, your question and any notes.
- Photos or documents you choose to upload with your request.
- Messages you exchange with us, and payment confirmations from our payment provider (we never see full card details).
Please don’t send details about living relatives, ID documents, passwords or DNA data.
Why we use it
To assess whether we can help and prepare your plan (steps you ask for before a contract), to carry out and deliver the research you buy (performance of the contract), to keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation), and to keep the site secure and prevent fraud (our legitimate interests). We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising without your consent.
Who processes it
Cloudflare (website hosting and storage of requests), Resend (sending our emails), Google (our mailbox) and Stripe (payments). They act on our instructions or as independent controllers for payments. Some of them store data outside Europe; where they do, transfers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep it
Requests that don’t become a project: 12 months. Project files and reports: 3 years after delivery, so we can answer your questions and reissue your report. Invoices and payment records: as long as Cyprus tax law requires. Then the data is deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, by writing to [email protected]. We reply within one month. You can complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy) or to the data protection authority where you live, such as the ICO in the UK, the OAIC in Australia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in Canada.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The request form keeps an unsent draft only in your own browser tab, and it is cleared when you send it or close the tab.
Publication
We never publish your family’s story or your report without your written permission.
Changes
If we change this notice, we update the date at the top of this page.
